What is HOPSA USA-Canada?+
HOPSA USA-Canada is an acronym for Holy Child Past Students Association, USA-Canada. It is an alumnae sisterhood affiliation of Holy Child School, Cape Coast and Holy Child College, Takoradi. Its vision and mission include a broad spectrum of activities for engaging alumnae here in the USA and Canada, helping students of Holy Child School, Cape Coast, and celebrating our alma mater.
Is HOPSA USA-Canada a non-profit?+
Yes! HOPSA USA-Canada is registered in the State of New Jersey as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. It is a volunteer-run organization with an extremely active executive committee — a president, vice-president, secretaries, treasurer, financial secretary, organizing secretaries, welfare officers, public relations officers, an advisory board, and at-large members.
How do I get a tax receipt for my donation?+

A receipt is emailed to you as soon as your gift goes through. It shows the amount, the date and a receipt number, and it is your record for tax purposes.

Members can also print a receipt for any gift, or a statement of a whole year, from the member portal: sign in, open My Giving, and choose the receipt number next to a gift, or pick a year and choose Annual statement. Use your browser’s Print option to save it as a PDF. Each January we also email members a summary of the previous year’s giving.

Gave without a member account, or lost your receipt? Email info@hopsausa-canada.org and we will send you a statement.

HOPSA USA-Canada is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, so donations are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.

Do you collect annual dues or registration fees?+
Yes. Your yearly registration with HOPSA USA-Canada comes with an annual registration fee of $25, which helps cover the administrative costs of running the organization.
Who is a registered HOPSAN and how does one register?+
A registered HOPSAN supports HOPSA USA-Canada with the annual $25 registration fee. Beyond registration are HOPSANS who commit to voluntary donations of any amount to help advance learning experiences at Holy Child School. You can register right here — start at Become a Member.
Do you call for donations?+
No — we will never call you for donations. Reminders for your yearly registration come by email. Fundraising activities are channeled through our Year Group Reps during the times when we fundraise.
Are you set up for companies to match donations?+
Yes. HOPSA USA-Canada is set up to receive corporate matching of donations. Please check with your company's HR for the forms you need to complete to make that happen.
How can I get involved?+
